Sarah Ferguson is opening up about the relationship she had with the late Queen Elizabeth II.
The Duchess of York was previously married to the late monarch’s second-born son, Prince Andrew, before their divorce in 1996. The pair have remained close ever since, and even live together at their residence in Royal Lodge in Windsor.

During a recent appearance at the Creative Women Platform Forum, Ferguson, 65, said it was “the greatest honor” to be a daughter-in-law to the late queen.
“You know, that’s pretty huge,” she said of her relationship to Elizabeth, who died in September 2022 at the age of 96.
“I want everyone to remember what an amazing lady she was,” Ferguson added.

Ferguson shared a clip from the recent appearance to Instagram on Wednesday, May 14, where she also could be heard opening up about Elizabeth’s beloved corgis, whom she took in after the queen’s death.
“I have her dogs. I have her corgis, so every morning, they come in and go, you know, ‘Woof, woof’ and all that, and I’m sure it’s her talking to me,” Ferguson stated.
In the caption of her Instagram post, Ferguson wrote, “It was a pleasure to join so many inspiring women at the Creative Women Platform Forum.”
“We gathered to celebrate the vital role women play in shaping a more sustainable, innovative and compassionate world. I was especially proud to reflect on the incredible example set by Her Late Majesty The Queen,” she continued, before calling the late monarch, “A guiding light in my life, and for so many others around the world 💜”
