The actress made a splash—and career first—earlier this week when she graced the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit in a parade of sexy, barely-there bikinis. She followed up the sultry snaps by taking in her moment at the publication’s cover launch party in New York City wearing a daring black dress.

The Grown Ups star graced Hard Rock Hotel last night in a witchy black frock that featured a lace corset bodice, plunging V-neckline, sheer long sleeves with frilly shoulders and cuffs, touches of glitter, and layers of hair-like fibers and tulle cascading down into a polarizing high-low skirt. However, Hayek’s version was less 2010s prom night and more dark boho. She upped the ante with towering black satin platform pumps, a smattering of diamond statement rings, and dainty diamond stud earrings.

As for beauty, Hayek glammed up with illuminating makeup, complete with peachy-pink cheeks, a subtle smoky eye, fluttery eyelashes, a natural lip, and a short white manicure.

The multi-hyphenate’s May 13 swimwear catalogue sees her posing in a checkered pool while stunning in a glittery seafoam-green string bikini and layers of gold body chains. Hayek is photographed with a fitting wet-hair look and sultry glam.

In another snap, the 58-year-old leans against a rock while donning a multi-tone brown crochet bikini top and matching gold cheeky bottoms. A third photo sees Hayek in her post-pool element, lounging on the floor with her hair wrapped in a tangerine-orange towel. She poses in a white string bikini and even more gold body chains.

Hayek revealed she almost backed out of the internet-breaking shoot, as she experienced a “very bad case of imposter syndrome” and tried on “over 100” bikinis to help her get mentally prepared for the moment.

“I remember when I was young and hot, I used to look at this magazine. I wanted to see who was the new gorgeous model, the new girl of the moment. And it never crossed my mind that I could be on that cover because they didn’t look like me,” she said during an appearance on the Today show. “My body’s not necessarily the model type and I never thought that was a possibility. And for it to happen when I’m 58? It’s really shocking.”
