Salma Hayek put a cool girl twist on menswear as she stepped out in New York City on Friday. The newly-minted Sports Illustrated Swimsuit star took a sartorial 180 from her barely-there bikinis on May 16, looking chic in a plunging spring suit paired with divisive footwear.
Hayek showed off her body in the fitted black leather jacket, which was unzipped to expose a low-cut white dress shirt underneath. The Desperado star added a structured black blazer with padded shoulders and matching dress pants, which flared out at the bottom. A pair of heeled black leather Oxford-style shoes peeped out from underneath.
Proudly flaunting her gray hair in a voluminous blowout, Hayek accessorized with a pair of black Jackie O.-coded sunglasses. She added a pop of white with a large white leather handbag embellished with silver hardware accents.

Hayek’s chic street style moment comes just days after the 58-year-old star celebrated her debut in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit. Telling People that she “still can’t believe” that she posed in the shoot, which included several topless photos, Hayek revealed that she almost backed out of the opportunity.

“I remember when I was young and hot, I used to look at this magazine. I wanted to see who was the new gorgeous model, the new girl of the moment. And it never crossed my mind that I could be on that cover because they didn’t look like me,” she shared. “My body’s not necessarily the model type and I never thought that was a possibility. And for it to happen when I’m 58? It’s really shocking.”

Hayek welcomed the career first at the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit launch party one day earlier. The star gave the LBD a witchy update, thanks to a plunging corset top with puffy sheer black lace sleeves and a ruffled high-low skirt with frilly detailing, layers of tulle, and dramatic fringe detailing.
