After walking the Met Gala red carpet in a custom burgundy bodysuit by Louis Vuitton, Sabrina Carpenter swapped the tailored look for a more relaxed ensemble. The singer attended A$AP Rocky’s after-party in a bright floor-length yellow coat. The textured outerwear, adorned with tonal Louis Vuitton monogram motifs, added a flash of color to the rainy New York night and matched her yellow Louis Vuitton handbag.
Carpenter layered the statement coat over a white button-down shirt, black trousers, and a slim black tie. The look paid homage to the Met Gala’s “Tailored for You” dress code and “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” theme with a slightly more irreverent twist, as it traded the gala’s grandeur for a playful reinterpretation and vibrant palette. She was photographed arm-in-arm with Jenna Ortega, who opted for a sculptural black bodysuit with structured shoulders, transparent tights, and pointed-toe heels.
The after-party, hosted by A$AP Rocky in partnership with Ray-Ban and Cash App, took place at Jean’s, a popular downtown venue. The rapper served as one of the evening’s Met Gala co-chairs alongside Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, and Pharrell Williams.
This marks Carpenter’s third Met Gala appearance. She made her debut in 2022 and made headlines in 2024 when she walked the red carpet with her then-boyfriend Barry Keoghan. She is currently preparing to continue her Short n’ Sweet Tour in July, with upcoming dates in London, New York, and Los Angeles.
In her February Vogue cover story, Carpenter reflected on her tour style, saying, “Short n’ Sweet is absolutely me. There’s no, like, alter ego. But it’s definitely a more emphasized version of me.” She added, “It’s interesting because I’m able to dress in this way where you would kind of expect to hear like a voice from the ’60s. But then, when I’m speaking to the audience, I’m just myself.”
