Some outlets noted its resemblance to Ringo Starr’s iconic look—fitting, as the Irish actor is set to portray the Beatles drummer in the upcoming Beatles biopics. The outfit also evoked the flamboyant fashion of the band’s Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band era.

Later in the night, Carpenter attended A$AP Rocky’s Met Gala after-party, swapping her red carpet look for a sharp ensemble: a white top, black skinny tie, black trousers, and a dramatic yellow Louis Vuitton coat. She didn’t arrive alone, either—she entered alongside her “Taste” music video co-star Jenna Ortega. For those inclined to read between the lines, “Taste” is a breakup song—though it’s widely speculated to be about Carpenter’s other ex Shawn Mendes.

Sabrina and Barry are definitely broken up right now. Sabrina isn’t sad over the breakup and is staying busy and distracted. Sabrina is figuring out what she wants and is focused on her career.”
