Ryan Phillippe is enjoying a night out with his son.
The actor, 50, was pictured attending a screening of his TV series Motorheads alongside his 21-year-old son Deacon, who also has a role in the show. Phillippe wore a tan suit and white shirt, smiling as he posed next to his son.
Deacon was the spitting image of his father as he posed next to him, wearing a dark green V-neck sweater and matching slacks. The two play brothers in the upcoming Prime Video series.

At the event, Phillippe spoke with PEOPLE and shared that he went into “set dad” mode a bit while watching Deacon act.
“A little bit, a little bit, but I didn’t mind being set dad for the days that he was there,” the proud dad told PEOPLE. “And I would go and get him a snack from craft service or bring him a coffee if he needed it.”

Earlier this month, Phillippe spoke with PEOPLE about his son’s role in the upcoming television series, saying that when he learned the show wanted his son to play his character’s brother in flashbacks, he only had two words.
“I was like, ‘Wow, okay,’ ” Ryan recalled to PEOPLE. “I didn’t want to be an influence one way or the other, so I said, ‘Well, offer it to him, and see what he thinks.’ The whole time [in my head] I’m like, ‘Please do it. Please do it. I want you there with me.’ But I wanted it to be his own decision.”

Ultimately, Phillippe said his son, who is studying music at New York University, came to him and said, “Dad, I think I’m going to do it.”
“I was thrilled, because what that meant was he would come in and out throughout the production, and I would get to spend time with him” the dad of three said.
“When your kids go off to college, it’s really unsettling. It really leaves a deficit, a hole in your life in some ways. Even though I go and visit him in New York, and we spend a lot of time with each other when we can, it’s different than when you’ve got them in your house every day. This experience offered me that opportunity again to live together for a week.”
