Ed Sheeran left his fans speechless with “the coolest guest act on stage ever” when he reunited with his high school bandmates to share their rendition of Wheatus’ “Teenage Dirtbag.”
The group of old friends was joined by none other than the band’s lead singer, Brendan B. Brown, and fans collectively lost their minds as their “worlds collided.”
The “Photograph” singer shared a sweet recap of the eventful concert on Instagram yesterday, July 5, recounting how he and his childhood friends used to play the classic track together. 22 years later, they reformed to play at another friend’s wedding, which led to Sheeran “ask[ing] them to come rock it with me at a stadium.”
He “cheekily” invited Brown “to come over and rock it with” them, too, and he was clearly more than game, “being the [legend] that he is.”
“One of my fav moments ever on stage,” the singer declared, sharing a montage of footage from their big performance together, as well as throwback photos from both the wedding and their initial iteration, the latter of which found a barely recognizable Sheeran standing next to his young bandmates.

Fans couldn’t stop gushing over the “Absolutely UNRREAALLL” performance they got to “witness,” with one admitting they had “Happy Tears ❤️🫶” as another marveled about the way their “two world[s] ‘collide[d]'” with the “iconic moment.”
“So epic!! 🔥🔥🔥,” someone else cheered, as another called it an “unexpected wonderful surprise!!!!! 🤩🔥.”
“That was sooooooo awesome!” someone else wrote appreciatively. “Thank you ❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
