Rihanna Rocks a Triple-Denim Look for an L.A. Dinner Date

If you’ve ever looked inside your closet at a possible all-denim look and thought, “I mustn’t,” well, Rihanna is here to tell you: You must.

Double denim is back and chicer than ever. We recently caught Blake Lively in a sparkly “Canadian tuxedo,” Katie Holmes in a glamorous vest and jean combo, and Margot Robbie in a loose denim summer suit. And this weekend, on a night out at her favorite Santa Monica Restaurant, Giorgio Baldi, Rihanna decided to give us a triple-denim masterpiece composed of a jacket, jeans, and a show-stopping Dior bag.

The singer and Fenty Beauty founder wore oversized dark-blue jeans with a lighter blue denim button-up jacket. She added some drama to the look with a gray fur boa that she draped around her shoulders. And she further accessorized with strappy brown snakeskin heels and big gold hoop earrings.

Then, in a stroke of genius, Rihanna topped off her look with Dior’s large blue Toujours Bag with the brand’s name emblazoned across it in giant letters.

“I feel like getting dressed is a fight on its own [now],” she said. “Everything is so … logical. What makes sense? What’s easy? What’s fast? I try not to overthink all that stuff, but you’re leaving the house. It kind of stops you from going out. How much energy do I have to put into getting ready? Doing my makeup, doing my hair, and then going to the closet and figuring out which three things in this entire room make sense together? You go through a fog. And fashion is so much fun, and I miss the fun.”

“Now I’m starting to just remember what I loved about it: the juxtaposition, putting the things together that don’t make sense. My fashion has always been driven by my mood, and my mood was on mom mode for a minute,” Rihanna added.
