Why send out a regular old pregnancy announcement when you can spread the word at the most glamorous event of the year?
Rihanna, 37, used the buzz surrounding the 2025 Met Gala on Monday to reveal that she’s expecting her third child with partner A$AP Rocky, 36.
The news was confirmed even before she hit the red carpet through an Instagram post shared by her photographer Miles Diggs, showing the “Umbrella” singer strolling down a rainy street in head-to-toe storm gray with her baby bump front and center.

Rocky served as a co-chair for this year’s Met Gala alongside Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, and Pharrell Williams, as well as Vogue editor Anna Wintour, the event’s organizer since 1995. The theme of this year’s annual fundraising festival for the Metropolitan Museum of Art was “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.”
Rocky designed every aspect of his look (down to his boxers) around the concept of Harlem Nights, he told Vogue YouTube channel live stream hosts Teyana Taylor and Ego Nwodim.
“I feel amazing. I mean, this is a dream come true,” he said before flashing the red soles of his Christian Louboutin shoes. “This is beautiful. Tonight is so special, especially celebrating Black excellence, dandyism. I’m just happy to be here.”
