Rihanna had some big news to share at the 2025 Met Gala.
Turns out, the hitmaker and business mogul is expecting her third child, and in case we didn’t get the picture, she emphasized the exciting update by showing off a trifecta of baby bump-baring looks, reminding us why she will always be the queen of maternity style.
It all started when she arrived to the event in a baby blue Miu Miu set where her belly peeked out. Then, she gave another wink when she walked the red carpet hours later in a dandy-inspired look from Marc Jacobs, where the gray, corset-like cummerbund spotlighted her growing bundle of joy.
Finally, RiRi ended her streak in a stark, all-black look that proved she remained one of the most pregnant, and one of the best-dressed stars of the evening.
For an after-party hosted by her partner, A$AP Rocky, and Ray-Ban, of whom Rocky’s recently become the first-ever creative director, Rihanna chose a jet-black look that seemed well-suited for partying late into the night.
In a nod to the “Tailored for You” dress code of the evening, Rihanna’s fit was like a sultry twist on a skirt suit. The ensemble included a silky black blazer and a maxi skirt, but the pieces were paired with statement-making accessories, which felt fitting for our master of street style, who always knows how to elevate a standard fit.
Underneath her blazer, Rihanna layered a frilly boho top that featured scalloped lace along the middle and a ribbon tying the two sides together. Of course, the top still left plenty of skin uncovered, and RiRi got to show off her baby bump just one more time.
Then, down low, the “Diamonds” singer’s skirt included woven laces that looped up the sides and a leather apron hanging in front. Meanwhile, she complemented her feminine top with a couple mesh accessories, including some heels and a durag, both of which were adorned with black velvet florals. (And underneath her cap, Rihanna also rocked a long, thick braid, which she slung over one of her shoulders.)
Finally, the superstar topped everything off by carrying a square black clutch and accessorizing with some fabulous jewels, including a diamond princess necklace and resplendent climber earrings to match.
All I know is, if Rihanna finally gets that girl she’s been trying for, her daughter is going to have quite the enviable closet of hand-me-downs.
