Rihanna made another rare red carpet appearance at the Cannes Film Festival on May 19 to support her longtime partner, A$AP Rocky, at an important event.
The two looked elegant and stylish as they posed for photos despite some rain at the premiere of Highest 2 Lowest, the new film from director Spike Lee based on Akira Kurosawa‘s 1963 film High and Low. A$AP Rocky stars in the movie alongside Denzel Washington, Jeffrey Wright and more.

For the special event, Rihanna wore a summery bright blue halter dress that tied at the neck with two more ties on the side, creating a couple of chic cutouts that showed a peek of the singer’s well-known sternum tattoo. The dress also had a big slit up her left side. She wore matching strappy heels along with stunning jewelry to complete the outfit.
Meanwhile, A$AP Rocky wore a stylish double-breasted suit with a striped tie, accessorizing with a gorgeous pin on his lapel, some gold earrings and sunglasses. The couple posed for plenty of photos, with the two looking loved-up as they shared many moments of PDA.
This is Rihanna’s first public event she’s attended since debuting her baby bump for her third pregnancy at the 2025 Met Gala. It’s also her first time appearing at the Cannes Film Festival since 2017, when she donned a beautiful strapless white gown on the red carpet for the premiere of Okja.
