Rihanna and Ciara reunited publicly at the 2025 Met Gala on Monday, May 5

Their reunion comes 14 years after the pair exchanged barbs in a bitter Twitter feud, but Ciara made it clear that it’s all love now during a May 6 appearance on Sherri
Rihanna and Ciara buried the hatchet 14 years after an epic social media feud.
The “Diamonds” hitmaker and the “Goodies” star took a moment to pose for photos together while attending the 2025 Met Gala on Monday, May 5 at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Photos from inside the event show Ciara, 39, beaming with joy while placing her hand on Rihanna’s growing baby bump. The Fenty Beauty founder, 37, revealed that she and A$AP Rocky were expecting their third child together just a few hours before the biggest night in fashion commenced.
The two pop stars even posed for a photo with their partners A$AP and Ciara’s husband, NFL player Russell Wilson.

Appearing on the May 6 episode of Sherri, Ciara was quick to offer her congratulations to her musical peer. She also shared some insight into what their reunion was like.
“It was so sweet running into her. I just have to shout her out because I’m so proud of her,” she gushed.
What did they talk about? Ciara shared some details about a conversation that the two couple had: “This is her third baby she’s having now. We were cracking up talking about … cinco. You know I have four. So [Russell Wilson, her husband] starts talking about cinco [Spanish for five, alluding to their fifth child]. So we start talking about quatro [Spanish for four] for her, but she’s gotta get through the tres [Spanish for three] first. The third baby first.”
Ciara added that this is not the first time they’ve interacted since their feud. In fact, she got “a sweet DM a few months back” from Rihanna, who said she was “so proud” of Ciara.”
“I’m proud of her, too. She is rocking it in such a great way,” Ciara said, adding, “What you get to see through our journeys as moms, just every woman that’s doing it, that you really can do it. You can live your life. You can have beautiful, precious babies and still pursue your dreams, be successful.”
Their reunion at the event comes after Rihanna and Ciara exchanged some iconic heated words on Twitter in 2011.

The bad blood between Rihanna and Ciara stems from a conversation that the latter had with the late Joan Rivers during a 2011 interview for E!’s Fashion Police, according to E News. During it, she said that she’d “always loved and respected what [Rihanna’s] done in fashion” but that they had an unpleasant interaction.
This prompted Rihanna to reply on Twitter, where she savagely wrote, “My bad Ci, did I 4get to tip u? #howrudeofme.”
Ciara fired back, tweeting, “Trust me Rhianna u dont want to see me on or off the stage.” However, Rihanna was ready with a response that went down in the history of Twitter beefs: “Good luck with bookin that stage u speak of.”
They appeared to make up with Rihanna issuing an apology a few minutes after the fact.
“Ciara baby, I love u girl! U hurt my feelings real bad on TV! I’m heartbroken! That’s y I retaliated this way! So sorry,” she wrote.
The “Body Party” star accepted the apology, writing that they should “chat in person.”
Although they hadn’t been photographed together since 2010, when they attended a Grammys event, Rihanna and Ciara appeared to have worked things out.
In 2018, Ciara wished Rihanna on happy birthday on Twitter, writing, “Remembering the 1st time we met. It’s been cool to see you kill it! Keep on soaring ma!”

While attending the Met Gala this year, Rihanna joked about how she was happy she wouldn’t have to hide her pregnancy anymore.
“I feel a lot better that I don’t have to suck my stomach in anymore,” she told Access Hollywood.
She also put her baby bump on full display in a monochromatic black outfit after the gala ended.
A$AP also opened up about the pregnancy on the red carpet at the event, where he was one of the co-chairs.
“It feels amazing, you know. It’s time that we show the people what we was cooking up,” he told AP. “And I’m glad everybody’s happy for us ‘cause we definitely happy, you know.”
Rihanna and A$AP are already parents to sons RZA Athelston, 3 this month, and Riot Rose, 21 months. Ciara shares four children with Russell, including her oldest Future Zahir, 11 this month, whom she welcomed with former fiancé Future. They also have daughters Sienna Princess, 8, and Amora Princess, 17 months, and son Win Harrison, 4½.
