A source tells PEOPLE that the two were “hoping to add another baby” to their family

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are looking forward to spending the next few months with their family of four.
After revealing at the Met Gala on Monday, May 5 that the “Love on the Brain” singer, 37, is pregnant and expecting her third baby, a source tells PEOPLE that Rihanna and Rocky are now “focused on family time.”
Since Rocky’s trial has ended, the couple has “had some time to decompress and just focus on family time,” the insider tells PEOPLE. “Rihanna’s a great mom. She loves playing with the kids.”

The source continues, saying Rocky’s “such a playful dad too. They were hoping for another baby.”
The couple is already parents to sons Riot, 21 months, and RZA, who turns 3 later this month.
As for how Rihanna’s settling into her pregnancy, the source says she’s been opting for baggier clothes this time around.

“Rihanna’s always gone with the flow, but this time around she joked early on that it would be hard to hide the baby bump. She’s been in baggy clothes for months,” they share.
After sharing the exciting news that she’s expecting her third baby with Rocky, the Grammy winner spoke with Access Hollywood and shared the one thing that she’s relieved she doesn’t have to do anymore now that the public knows she’s pregnant.
“I feel a lot better that I don’t have to suck my stomach in anymore,” she told the outlet.

As she walked the blue carpet outside the gala later that night, Rihanna gave an update on how her third pregnancy is going.
“I’m good. I’m shockingly feeling okay and not too overwhelmed at the moment,” the pregnant mom of two told Entertainment Tonight. “I mean, at first, it was kinda like, ‘Ah!’ And I’m tried, but then I’m excited.”
The musician was then asked if this pregnancy would delay her forthcoming ninth album, to which Rihanna pushed back and said, “No. Maybe a couple videos, but I can sing!”
Just before the 2025 Met Gala, Rihanna’s photographer Miles Diggs revealed the news that she is pregnant again on Instagram. Diggs shared a photo of the singer in the rain with her baby bump on full display.
Rocky, who was a co-chair of this year’s Met Gala, told reporters on the red carpet, including the Associated Press, that “it feels amazing” to be expecting again with Rihanna, adding, “It’s time that we show the people what we was cooking up.”
“And I’m glad everybody’s happy for us ’cause we definitely happy, you know,” he said.
