Reese Witherspoon’s Daring Cliff Dive Wows Fans During Vacation With Son originally appeared on Parade.
Reese Witherspoon appears to be enjoying a beautiful vacation with her son, Tennessee, but in a small glimpse of the trip she shared with fans, the actress was feeling a little extra courageous as she daringly jumped off a cliff into the ocean.
The 49-year-old shared a special video on social media on Aug. 17, starting with a clip of herself standing at the top of a cliff in a dark-colored one-piece. Witherspoon said in a voiceover, “Everybody’s been saying that people jump off this rock, here. I don’t know. It looks pretty high.”
The video then cut to a shot of Witherspoon sitting at a table with her son as she said to the camera, “We’re trying to decide if we’re going to jump off that rock.” While Witherspoon seemed unsure, she concluded the video with a clip of her going through with her plan and jumping into the water.

Witherspoon decided to highlight the moment as a life lesson, adding in text over the video, “Here’s what happens when fear…meets follow-through…because life’s too short to stay on the edge.”

Fans Were Stunned By Witherspoon’s Bold Move
The Legally Blonde star’s brave jump stunned many of her fans, with one reacting to the video with a comment, saying, “Wow, I’m so shook. 🫣 Round of applause to this act of rebellion ❤️👏.”
“OMG!!!! You’re so brave!!!! 💪💪💪😊,” said another, as more replied, “Love this! Live your life to the fullest,” and “So brave good for you no regrets!! Bet it felt great.”
A different fan related to Witherspoon’s brave leap, writing, “I am ready. You are a super dare devil. I never took you for such a stuntster. I am impressed! I am ready for the big leap. Lets go!!!!”
Witherspoon didn’t reveal if her son made the jump as well, and shared no additional details about where the cliff was or where she was on vacation.
