Rebel Wilson nearly fell off while half way through her six-week health challenge.

On May 12, the actress and comedian posted on her Instagram Stories and admitted that she had a “slight slip-up” and ate the foods she promised to avoid.

“Hey everyone. So, if you’re following along with me on the six-week Rebel health challenge, which is a great thing to do, by the way, with summer coming up. We’re into week four. So we’re halfway through,” the 45-year-old said.

“So this is the beginning of week four and with me, I’m avoiding chocolate and ice cream. I do want to be totally honest, I had a very slight slip-up on a weekend, which I then felt terrible about,” she continued. “So if you’re on this and you do have a slight slip-up, don’t worry. The next day, just get back on it and back on it now because I’ve got three more weeks left of the challenge and I can do it!”

Wilson added that this week, the positive thing she will use to replace her sweets is strength training. She encouraged her followers to do the same.

The Pitch Perfect alum first detailed her health challenge last month in an Instagram video.

Wilson — who previously opened up to PEOPLE about losing 80 lbs. following a “year of health” in 2020 — explained that the challenge involves giving up 1 to 3 indulgences and replacing them with habits that benefit your physical or mental health.

“Who’s up for a 6-week health challenge? I know I am because I’ve just been really indulging over Easter and also quite frankly for the last couple of months. And I really want to be a healthier version of me,” she said at the time.

“So I’m gonna give up chocolate and ice cream for the next six weeks,” she shared. “And instead, each week I’m gonna do something positive for my health. So this week, I’m gonna be grateful for five things and I’m gonna write it down.”

In the comments section, Wilson replied to her followers praising those who vowed to join her challenge.

In March 2024, the Senior Year star discussed her health journey in an issue of PEOPLE, detailing the “emotional war” she experienced over her weight.

Wilson described herself as an “emotional eater,” adding that she would “be hard on myself,” which took time to work on.

“I’m like, ‘How can I be a person who excels in so many things, and gets two university degrees, and can make millions of dollars, and can start from nothing and then create this huge career, but I couldn’t lose weight,'” she said at the time. “I would always beat myself up about that and go, ‘What’s wrong with me?’”

In her book Rebel Rising: A Memoir, Wilson discussed her weight loss and how it isn’t about “some magic pill, or some sick special diet, or exercise regime or whatever.”

“It’s literally about working at a healthier way to deal with your emotions, and there is no magic solution,” she said. “Maybe me telling my story might encourage them to do the same and make healthy change in their lives.”
