Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards is mourning the loss of one of her beloved dogs, River.
“Yesterday we said goodbye to River,” Richards captioned an Instagram post on May 10. “The most loyal dog I have ever known. River was a foster fail that was so grateful for being rescued and never left my side. She would wait in the window until I got home every day. Sit on the bath mat while I showered. Slept in my room making sure I was always in sight. We all spent the day outside with her and her siblings,” she continued.
River, a German Shepard, had been having a difficult time walking but managed to say her goodbyes to the family before dying “peacefully.” She was 15 years old.

Richards received love and support from friends and fans alike in the comments section of the post.
“I’m just so sorry for your loss Kyle. This is one of the most painful things to go through. Sending healing prayers your way,” wrote Real Housewives of Orange County star Gretchen Rossi.
“I grew up with German Shepherd. They are the most beautiful loyal loving family members. I’m so so sorry,” said Chrishell Stause, star of Selling Sunset on Netflix.
“Oh the heartbreak of losing those precious soul-pups! Sending love and light – to sweet River too since he crossed the [rainbow] bridge,” a third comment read.
“Thank you for being so good to all animals. So sorry you have lost a family member – an angel now,” a fourth Instagram user added.
Richards, who is currently separated from her husband, Mauricio Umansky, is a dog mom of five other four-legged friends. She has another German Shepherd named Luna, a Golden Retriever named Bambi, a Bernese Mountain Dog named Georgie, a Pomeranian named Romeo, and two other pups — Storm and Smokey.
