Over 40 years after he starred as one half of the crime-fighting duo Ponch and Jon on the popular series CHiPs, Erik Estrada made a rare appearance on the red carpet for a very good cause.
The 75-year-old actor attended the Nancy Davis’ Race To Erase MS Gala in Los Angeles on Friday, May 16, posing for pics with his wife Nanette Mirkovic, 65, and daughter Francesca Natalia, 25.
Wearing a black suit with a white shirt and ivory tie, the star flashed his famous grin for the cameras. Nanette and Francesca, both wearing formal black gowns, also showed off their stunning smiles.
While Estrada has stayed mostly out of the spotlight in recent years, he’s still been keeping busy. In 2016, life imitated art for the former TV cop when he was sworn in as a reserve police officer in St. Anthony, Idaho, with a focus on protecting kids from predators online.

“Education is the best protection especially on the internet,” he told the Idaho State Journal at the time.
“Children should be educated in how to handle a chat room,” he continued, adding, “Don’t give out personal information. Certainly don’t give out your mother’s or father’s name or what school you go to. Don’t ever accept gifts. Certainly don’t ever go meet someone you’ve been chatting with. They’re not who they are. If they send a picture, that isn’t them.”
