As the star of such ’80s sci-fi classics as Blade Runner and Dune, Sean Young won the hearts of countless fans — and they’re still lining up to see the actress in person decades later.
In a video shared to TikTok from a recent Comic Con in London, Young, 65, smiled and chatted with fans as she signed photos of herself from some of her most famous films. While she was once known for her dark hair, the actress has since gone platinum, and wore her blonde locks pinned up on the top of her head, accessorizing with a red lip.
Commenters were thrilled to see the star out and about, with one calling her “the most beautiful actress hands down in the 80s.”
“One of the most beautiful women in the world in her time,” agreed a second person, with somebody adding, “Don’t forget how gorgeous Sean Young was in Dune.”
“Still a very attractive lady,” declared someone else.
What has Sean Young been doing since the ’80s?
Young suffered a series of career setbacks following her string of successful roles; she was replaced by Kim Basinger after being injured on the set of Tim Burton‘s 1989 Batman and was also sued by former co-star James Woods for stalking behavior (they settled out of court, with Young denying the accusations). She moved to Sedona, Arizona, in the ’90s, where she had two sons with husband Robert Lujan.
In a 2023 interview with People, Young reflected on her experiences during the height of her fame, noting that “other people, I discovered, didn’t necessarily have the sense of humor that I did.”
“There’s a lot of arrogance in the business and a lot of maniacal people in the business. If you’re saying something that’s really obvious to somebody that might not want to see themself in a certain way, you can offend them,” she continued, adding, “I might’ve offended a couple of leading men along the way. It was never my intention, though. That’s really true. I just thought everything was very funny. I didn’t take it that seriously. I took what I did seriously.”
