Rafael Nadal playfully teased Carlos Alcaraz about liking some girls’ photos, prompting a cheeky response from the younger Spaniard, who jokingly called him a “motherf*cker.” The exchange was all in good fun, filled with laughs and lighthearted teasing between the two.

The moment between Nadal and Alcaraz happened during the ‘Netflix Slam’ in Las Vegas in March 2024, where the past and present of tennis came together for an exhibition. The exchange was later featured in Alcaraz’s Netflix documentary ‘Carlos Alcaraz: My Way,’ which released on April 23 and gave fans a candid look into the Spaniard’s life both on and off the court.

The documentary spans three episodes in total, and it’s in the second one where we see the four-time Grand Slam champion chatting with Andre Agassi and his idol Nadal before their exhibition match. While they were all hanging out ahead of a media session, Nadal playfully teased Alcaraz, accusing him of constantly liking pictures of Mallorcan girls—leading to a fun, cheeky exchange between the two.

Alcaraz: “He told me, ‘Damn, I saw you over there liking some Mallorcan girl’s photos.’”

Nadal: “You like all the girls’ photos.”

Alcaraz: “No, that’s not true. That’s not how it is.”

Later, in a video diary segment, Carlos Alcaraz admitted with a laugh that Nadal wasn’t exactly wrong, though he insisted he doesn’t do it all the time. Taking the teasing in stride, he chuckled and called the 22-time Grand Slam champion a “motherf*cker.”

“He has told me that several times. I don’t do it as much as he says I do. But, well, at the end of the day, I think it’s part of life. Rafa, that motherf*cker,” he said.

The camaraderie between Nadal and Alcaraz has been evident for a while, especially when they teamed up for doubles at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Nadal often praises Alcaraz for his achievements, and Alcaraz, in turn, never misses a moment to speak fondly of the tennis legend he grew up idolizing.

Carlos Alcaraz enjoyed a strong run to the final of the 2025 Barcelona Open, a tournament close to his heart and one he had already won twice before. However, his dream of lifting a third title there was cut short, as he fell to Holger Rune in the final. An abductor muscle injury hampered his movement and played a part in the tough loss on home soil.

Despite the heartbreaking loss, Carlos Alcaraz found motivation in a message from Rafael Nadal. After the final, he shared with the media that the Mallorcan had sent him an encouraging text, offering support and reminding him to stay hopeful despite the injury.

“He wrote to me,” Alcaraz said. “To give me some encouragement, telling me he hopes that I’m not injured and that in a few days I can train again and give my all.”

Alcaraz is set to play at the Madrid Open, where he will start his campaign in the second round against either Yoshihito Nishioka or Zizou Bergs. However, his participation is still uncertain due to the injury, and he is expected to hold a press conference soon to clarify whether he will compete.
