Rachel Zegler is asking the question on everyone’s mind: will Timothée Chalamet’s most ardent fans be okay after he finally made his red carpet debut with Kylie Jenner?
Zegler, 24, made reference to the popular Instagram fan account dedicated to the 29-year-old Dune actor known as Club Chalamet while responding to a Wednesday, May 7 Instagram post from Cosmopolitan. The post featured photos of Chalamet posing with his arms wrapped around Jenner, 27, at the 70th David Di Donatello Awards in Rome.
“Is club chalamet gonna be ok,” Zegler wrote in a comment on the outlet’s post; her comment has received more than 3,000 likes since she posted it, and Cosmopolitan even responded to Zegler to say, “We’re keeping her in our thoughts right now queen.”
The outlet had captioned its initial photos of Chalamet and Jenner’s red carpet debut by writing, “It’s officially red carpet official! Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner made their carpet debut today at the 70th David Di Donatello Awards in Italy! Someone check on Club Chalamet right now…👀”

Chalamet and Jenner have been romantically linked since April 2023; the pair seemingly met for the first time at Jean Paul Gaultier’s Paris Fashion Week show in January of that year. The couple made their first public appearance together when they were seen kissing at a Beyoncé concert and have stepped out together more frequently in the last year, including at the Golden Globes, the BAFTAs and the Oscars this winter and an NBA game in Los Angeles in April.

The couple were in Rome for the David di Donatello Awards on May 7 as Chalamet received the David for Cinematic Excellence honor, which the Academy of Italian Cinema President Piera Detassis described as “meant to be an acknowledgement of the great actor of quality and innovative films, and, at the same time, of the global protagonist,” citing Chalamet’s breakout role in the Italian-produced 2017 film Call Me By Your Name, per Variety.
Fan accounts like Club Chalamet have received an increased amount of attention in recent years as Chalamet’s own star has continued to rise in Hollywood with a string of hit movies like Dune, Wonka and A Complete Unknown, the latter of which earned Chalamet his first SAG Award in February.

The Club Chalamet social media accounts are run by a person identified as Simone, who describes the account as “a GenX LA based super fan account in support of” Chalamet in her Instagram page’s bio. The account does not appear to approve of Chalamet’s romance with Jenner; they shared a photo of the couple at the event to its Instagram Stories and blurred Jenner’s face, while writing, “Isn’t Timothée the honoree? Why attention hogging?”
Club Chalamet’s owner appears to have taken a hiatus from posting to the account over the last month that they ended yesterday, coinciding with Chalamet and Jenner’s appearance in Rome. “Abusive gaslighting has been done to our community by interlopers who have enjoyed the gossip situation of the past two years,” the account claimed in an Instagram post shared on Thursday, May 8, its first since April 13.
