Rachel Bilson is engaging with her sillier side for her daughter.
On Sunday, April 27, the Hart of Dixie alum, 43, shared a video on her Instagram of her and a friend wearing Darth Vader masks and pressing a button on the side, prompting the toys to recite some classic Star Wars phrases.
Bilson makes dramatic gestures and laughs, reaching out for the camera as the video progresses. Although her daughter Briar Rose, 10, couldn’t be seen in the video, another little girl helps Bilson and her friend adjust their masks.
“Are you even a mom if you’ve never done this?” Bilson asks in the caption of her video.
The actress shares her daughter with ex Hayden Christensen, 44, who played the role of Anakin and Darth Vader in the Star Wars prequel trilogy.

Back in October, Bilson chatted with PEOPLE and revealed that she may celebrate Chrismukkah for the first time this year alongside Briar.
The special holiday was first introduced by Adam Brody’s Seth Cohen on The O.C. in 2003. The hybrid name is a combination of both Christmas and Hanukkah and was created as a way to enjoy the best of both holidays.
“I like teaching my daughter some of the Jewish traditions and things like that, but Chrismukkah itself is like its own holiday we haven’t really done,” the actress told PEOPLE. “But it sounds like this year might be the first.”

On an August episode of her podcast, Broad Ideas with Rachel Bilson & Olivia Allen, the actress shared that Briar is different from other children because she doesn’t throws fits.
“Bry’s definitely a different kid than I was,” Bilson said on the podcast. “Like, 100%.”
“I almost feel weird talking about it with other parents because she doesn’t throw fits,” she continued. “It’s not how she is. So if there’s ever a time where she’s off or gets, kind of upset about something, it totally dis-regulates me.”
Asked why she feels weird talking about it, Bilson admitted it almost feels like bragging. She explained, “I just mean it sounds like, ‘Oh my kid doesn’t throw fits,’ you know, but I’m like, no. It’s actually the truth.”
