The Los Angeles Chargers could be down a wide receiver after today’s preseason game.
Quentin Johnston, the teams’ first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, had to be carted off the field following a hard hit in today’s game against the Los Angeles Rams, per USA TODAY Sports’ Tyler Dragon.
Johnston took a shot from Rams safety Tanner Ingle on the play. Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert couldn’t connect with Johnston on a deep pass down the right sideline on the play.

Johnston was able to walk to the cart under his own power. That was his only target of the game.
