The Danish Royal House recently announced Princess Josephine’s surprise plans for the upcoming year
Queen Mary of Denmark offered rare insight into her family’s home life by revealing where you can often find her four children!
The Queen of Denmark, 53, offered the comment while appearing on the DR1 TV program Søren Vester’s Garden – Biodiversity and Castle Gardens on Aug. 19, where she gave Danish designer Søren Vester a tour of the royal gardens at Fredensborg Palace, her family’s residence during the summer months.
Queen Mary and her husband King Frederik are parents to Crown Prince Christian, 19, Princess Isabella, 18, and twins Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine, 14, and she told Vester that she doesn’t have to remind her kids to go outside.
“Our children are outside a lot. I don’t think they think, ‘Now I’m going out into nature.’ They think it’s nice to get fresh air and exercise in nature,” Queen Mary said, according to Hello! magazine.

Much like Prince William and Kate Middleton, King Frederik and Queen Mary seem to be instilling their children with an appreciation for sports and physical activities.
In June, the family of six came out in full force to support the annual Royal Run, an exercise festival held across five Danish cities. The Royal Run was established to celebrate King Frederik’s 50th birthday in 2018 and has continued as a tradition since, with over 97,500 people participating this year.
The fun run is part of the country’s Move for Life campaign, which aims to make Denmark the most active nation in the world, and the whole family laced up their sneakers to participate.

According to Hello!, Crown Prince Christian beat his father’s speed in the 5 km distance, but may have had a leg up for a straightforward explanation! The heir to the throne had recently completed military training with the Guard Hussar Regiment and recently returned to further his military education.
On Aug. 11, the Danish Royal House released a statement about the schooling plans ahead for the King and Queen’s children this year.
While Crown Prince Christian undertakes a Lieutenant’s Training Course at Antvorskov Guard Hussar Barracks and Princess Isabella and Prince Vincent begin a new year at the same schools they attended last year, Princess Josephine is making a major change.

The court said that Princess Josephine has chosen to switch schools and will enroll at Spir Efterskole, a boarding school about three hours’ away from her family’s home at Amalienborg Palace in Copenhagen.
“HRH Princess Josephine has chosen, at her own request, to continue her education in the 8th grade at Spir Efterskole,” the statement said.
Josephine charts her own royal destiny with the school switch, as she reportedly becomes the first of her siblings to go away to boarding school.
