The Professional Women’s Hockey League playoffs take to the ice in the battle for the Walter Cup.
The top four teams in the regular season will compete in best-of-five series, with the matchups determined not by standings but by the preference of the top-seeded Montreal Victoire.
Under PWHL rules, the team with the best regular-season record gets to select its first-round playoff opponent. The Victoire chose to face the No. 3-seeded Ottawa Charge. The other matchup will pit the No. 2 seed Toronto Sceptres against the No. 4 Minnesota Frost.
Montreal and Toronto will have home-ice advantage in their respective series.
