Netflix knows everybody wants the next season of its hit romantic comedy starring Kristen Bell and Adam Brody.
Season 2 of “Nobody Wants This” is just two months away as fans are eager to follow the “will they or won’t they” romance after last season’s heartfelt cliffhanger.
The first season debuted last September and followed the love story between Bell’s agnostic sex podcaster, Joanne, and Brody’s Los Angeles rabbi, Noah, who must grapple with cultural differences to be together.
The finale concluded with Noah making the drastic decision to continue their relationship despite his promotion to head rabbi and Joanne’s decision not to convert to Judaism.
The upcoming season is expected to explore the aftermath and possible repercussions of their decisions.
“What should he do? What should she do? What version of sacrifice is worth it? What constitutes growth, or what constitutes dimming yourself to be with someone else,” Brody told Netflix when discussing the second season. “It’s a sacrifice, but ideally, you grow together and you’re better for it − you don’t have to [lop] off a limb.”
The show has landed three Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Comedy Series as well as nods for both Brody and Bell.
