Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey celebrated the upcoming arrival of their first baby together with an elegant baby shower.
On Sunday, May 4, the couple, who wed in June 2024, celebrated the forthcoming arrival of their little one with a Parisian-themed baby shower. Culpo shared several snaps recapping the special day on her Instagram, including pictures of her and the San Francisco 49ers running back, 28. She also included some family and solo shots, along with pictures of the gorgeous scenery. The elegant affair was held at Castle Hill Inn in Rhode Island — a location that the model, 33, told Vogue holds a “special place in my heart.”
“Rhode Island has always held such a special place in my heart — it’s where I grew up, where so many of my values were shaped, and where most of my family still lives,” she told the outlet.
“It felt really meaningful to celebrate this next chapter surrounded by close family and friends in a place that feels so deeply like home,” she continued. “The shower happened the morning after I was inducted into the Rhode Island Hall of Fame, which made the whole weekend feel incredibly full-circle and emotional in the best way.”

The soon-to-be mom and her husband both wore sage green outfits, which was intentional since the couple don’t know the sex of the baby. Culpo adorned a flowy custom Marchesa dress by Georgina Chapman, while McCaffrey complemented her look with an all-green suit.
“It was a beautiful day. What I’ll remember most, though, was the love in the room — being surrounded by family and close friends as we prepare for this next chapter,” Culpo told Vogue. “It was truly special.”
During an exclusive interview with PEOPLE in March for her partnership with Cupshe, the expectant mother opened up about her excitement to become a first-time mom. She shared that her and McCaffrey are both looking forward to the journey ahead.
“I’m so excited and grateful to be pregnant. I’ve been dreaming of this for a long time,” she told PEOPLE. “It’s very special.”
As for the San Francisco 49ers running back, Culpo says her husband was “made to be a dad.”
“He’s so excited,” she adds. “I think he’s gonna really enjoy it and be just the best.”

Elsewhere in the conversation, the expectant mom opened up about one of the things that she has learned from her pregnancy journey. Culpo said the experience has shown her just how much she needs her mother.
“I feel like I have a lot of respect for my mom and one thing that I realized through this experience of becoming a mom is actually how much I’ve needed my mom, which I didn’t anticipate,” she told PEOPLE. “She’s just been so helpful to me, especially in the beginning of my pregnancy. That was really tough. It’s just kind of an interesting thing, and I’m just so grateful to her.”
“It’s just an ironic thought that you need your mom the most when you’re about to become a mom,” she added. “That’s just genuinely how I felt.”
