Podcaster and influencer Amanda Hirsch is opening up about what she — and the world — made of Meghan Markle’s handwritten note to her.
After the Duchess of Sussex posted the trailer for her Netflix lifestyle show, With Love, Meghan, back in January, the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast commented on the clip, writing, “You guys, I’m scared for Meghan.”
“I know how people come for her, and I’m genuinely scared she’ll be ripped to shreds,” Hirsch recalled in a new interview on Page Six Radio.
In a surprise move, Hirsch received a note from Meghan herself.
“Dear Amanda, I heard you were feeling scared. Don’t be! This is the fun part — let’s enjoy it,” Meghan wrote on personalized letterhead.

Speaking with Page Six hosts Ian Mohr, Danny Murphy and Evan Real, Hirsch recalled the moment she received the handwritten response.
“I, first of all, what? [I] didn’t think,” she recalled. “It’s always when things happen to me that are kind of crazy, I don’t think.”
The podcaster instantly took to Instagram to share the note with friends and followers, and “people loved it.”
“People thought it was, like, she’s being snarky,” Hirsch noted. “She has a sense of humor. She gets it. She’s zoned in, she’s tuned in, she’s on the beat. I think it was genuine from her.”
She added, “I talked to some people that know her, and they confirmed and they said, “Yeah, it was her idea to write you the note after she saw [my post].”

Hirsch also made Meghan’s coveted “jam list,” receiving preserves from the Duchess’s new As ever line, which she admitted she hasn’t yet opened.
“I want it to stay in the [container],” she explained with a laugh. “Can you preserve preserves? I need to preserve the preserves.”
Hirsch also admitted that she saved Meghan’s return address “just in case” – though she noted, “I’m sure it’s a headquarters of somewhere that mailed it.” She also said she maintains a longshot hope of having Meghan as a guest on Not Skinny But Not Fat – especially given that the Duchess of Sussex is in the podcasting space herself.
“I want to see people like her,” Hirsch said. “I don’t get why people are so hard on her, but that’s why I’m like, ‘Come on my pod. I wouldn’t ask you about the royals. Swearsies.’ ”
