The New York Knicks defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 110-105 on Wednesday at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Jalen Brunson led the Knicks with 34 points, seven assists and three rebounds on 8-for-17 shooting (3-for-5 on 3-pointers), including going 15-for-16 from the free throw line. Mikal Bridges finished with 28 points and three assists on 12-for-18 shooting (3-for-5 from the arc). He scored 19 in the opening quarter alone.

OG Anunoby added 16 points and nine rebounds, while Josh Hart had seven points, 17 rebounds and four assists.

For Philly, Tyrese Maxey scored 30 points on 12-for-32 shooting (0-for-10 from downtown). He also added four rebounds and five assists. Paul George had 25 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and four steals on 9-for-20 shooting (4-for-9 from the 3-point line). Kelly Oubre Jr. contributed 27 points and four rebounds.

Both teams were on a losing streak. With the win, the Knicks snapped their two-game slump. Meanwhile, the Sixers have lost their previous nine games — the longest active skid in the NBA and the franchise’s longest since 2017. They are on opposite ends of the Eastern Conference. New York (38-20) sits comfortably at the No. 3 spot, while Philadelphia is 12th with a 20-38 record.

Wednesday’s game is the third of four matchups between the teams. The Knicks lead the season series against the Sixers, 3-0. On Jan. 15, Brunson scored 38, while Maxey had 33 points.

Former MVP Joel Embiid was out again on Wednesday. He has only played in 19 games this season, and Philly is 8-11 in those games. Karl-Anthony Towns was sidelined for New York due to a left knee injury.
