CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — A brief look at the final round of the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow:
THE VICTOR: Scottie Scheffler had an even-par 71 to win by five shots.
THE SPOILS: Scheffler won $3.42 million and has a lifetime exemption to play the PGA Championship.
THE RUNNERS-UP: Harris English (65), Bryson DeChambeau (70) and Davis Riley (72) tied for second. It was the best finish in a major for English and Riley.
THE MARGINS: Scheffler now has won the 2022 Masters by three shots, the 2024 Masters by four shots and the PGA Championship by six shots. The last player to win his first three majors by three shots or more was Seve Ballesteros.
BRYSON TRENDING: DeChambeau has finished in the top six in five of the last six majors.
AMERICAN STREAK: Americans have won the last 10 times in the PGA Championship, the longest active streak among the majors.
KEY STATISTIC: Scheffler played the reachable par-4 14th and the par-5 15th in 9-under par for the week.
