Paula Patton is loving the single life!
During her recent appearance on PEOPLE in 10, the Finding Faith star, 49, opened up about her relationship status and shared her thoughts on dating.
“I’m not telling you that,” she tells PEOPLE with a laugh after being asked if she has a partner.
“I’m going to be honest, I am a single woman,” she adds.

The actress, however, isn’t worried about her single status, and she believes things will happen when they are meant to be.
“God has your king for you, and you just have to go about your life enjoying every moment. Don’t wait on anything or anybody. Just trust and know that when the right person comes, it will be,” she shares.
Patton believes that people sometimes make choices out of a fear of being alone instead of waiting for the person they are meant to be with.
“I think we get caught up in fear, or worried about being alone, and then you make choices that are not great choices, instead of just like, trusting, it’s all gonna work out, and then you don’t have to chase anything,” she says.
Patton’s last public romance was with Robin Thicke, with whom she filed for divorce from in 2014. The two were granted a divorce in March 2015, five months after Patton first filed.
She first met Thicke at an 18-and-under club in Los Angeles when she was 15 and he was 14. They announced their separation in February 2014.
The former couple shares son Julian Fuego, 15. Thicke is also a father to kids Mia, 7, Lola, 6, and Luca, 4, with wife April Love Geary.

Elsewhere on the show, she also shares how Finding Faith, helped her find forgiveness on her sobriety journey.
When asked about getting into the “headspace” of an inebriated character in the Lifetime movie amid long-term sobriety, Patton — who has been sober for seven years — admits, “It was scary…When I was doing it, though, what was kind of incredible was that I was able to forgive myself for the first time genuinely.”
“Because even as I’d been through this healing journey, I’d still be like, ‘God, how did you do that? Why didn’t you do this? You should have done it like that,’” she continued. “And somehow playing Faith and going through it, I realized I did the best I could at that time. I didn’t have the tools. I didn’t know, and I don’t know, I just was able to forgive myself.”
Finding Faith chronicles Faith’s (Patton) journey as she “spirals out of control and loses her trust in God” following the sudden death of her husband, according to official synopsis. “But with the unwavering support of her family, pastor and close friends, Faith starts to find her way out of the darkness and into the light, rebuilding her life one step at a time.”
