Patrick Schwarzenegger is preparing to walk down the aisle with fiancée Abby Champion.
The couple met when Champion was on a date with one of Schwarzenegger’s friends.
“She was 18. I was 21. She moved to L.A. from Alabama right after high school to pursue her dreams of being a supermodel,” he explained of his fiancée during a February 2025 episode of the “Real Pod” podcast. “I was like, ‘Oh my God, this girl’s beautiful.’ I’d never met her.”
Schwarzenegger was quick to swoop in and ask for her number that very first night, though he went on to explain that Champion “blew me off” the first few times he tried to take her out on a date. It wasn’t until the two attended a church service together that The White Lotus star was able to seal the deal.
Schwarzenegger and Champion went on to announce their engagement in a joint December 2023 Instagram post.

The Initial Announcement

The couple teamed up with Skims for a pre-wedding photoshoot, released in March 2025. They spoke candidly about their decision to work with the brand.
“Being part of Skims’ Wedding Shop with my fiancée Abby was such a fun experience and made me more excited for our big day,” Schwarzenegger said in a statement at the time. “Grooms are usually expected to just show up, but Skims designed with the men in mind also.”
Champion added, “This is such an exciting time in my life, and I want to feel my best throughout it all.”
