Pamela Anderson’s $38 Pickles Include This 1 Surprising Ingredient originally appeared on Parade.
Pamela Anderson has been everywhere lately. She just hit the red carpet for The Naked Gun reboot premiere, drew headlines for her bare-faced beauty, and has fans swooning over her new connection with costar Liam Neeson.
Now, she’s in the news again—for pickles. But not just any pickles. These $38 jars come with one surprising ingredient you probably didn’t see coming: dried rose petals.
“Roses make everything better,” the 58-year-old Baywatch alum told Elle Decor in an interview published Sunday, August 10. “Food grade, of course. I put them in my spaghetti sauce and use them for tea. They have many benefits.”
Scientific studies back that up—rose petals are packed with antioxidants like flavonoids, tannins, and polyphenols, which may help with inflammation, digestion, skin health, and even stress relief.

The pickles—officially called “Pamela’s Pickles”—are a limited-edition collab with Los Angeles lifestyle brand Flamingo Estate. They’re based on an award-winning family recipe from Anderson’s great-aunt Vie.
“She was an award-winning pickler and canner, a great cook, and such a joy to be around,” Anderson said. “She was bedazzled from head to toe and danced in the kitchen in high heels while spiking your coffee with Kahlua. She wrote a book, From Pickles to Pearls. This is legit!”

The Last Showgirl star lived with her aunt after high school, where she learned to pickle, can, and make jams and mustards. The base of her aunt’s recipe—dill, mustard, and garlic—now gets an upgrade with Flamingo Estate’s pink peppercorns, guajillo chile, smoky sea salt, and Anderson’s signature dried rose petals.
Flamingo Estate called the product “the most delicious pickles we’ve ever tasted” in their launch announcement, adding, “When Pamela Anderson calls with an idea, the answer is always a resounding YES.”

Every jar is made with all-organic ingredients, and 100% of proceeds benefit the California Wildlife Center—a nonprofit veterinary hospital that rescues and rehabilitates native wild animals. It’s a cause Anderson has been involved with for nearly 30 years.
“My boys and I spent countless hours volunteering there and have raised money [over the years] through multiple lemonade stands,” she said. “It’s so important to protect our wildlife.” (Anderson is mom to two sons—Brandon, 29, and Dylan, 27—both of whom she shares with her ex-husband, Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee.)

The blonde bombshell first teased the idea months ago. In February, during an appearance on British daytime show This Morning, she told host Alison Hammond, “I’m a pickler! I come from a long line of picklers… I am doing something possibly called Pamela’s Pickles. I’m going to sell pickles!”
Pamela’s Pickles are available exclusively through Flamingo Estate’s website, with orders shipping starting August 18.
