Pamela Anderson has become known for her penchant for chic minimalism—and that goes right down to her color palette. She almost always opts for simple, pared-down hues—think a pure white ensemble or a chic little black dress. Every now and then, she even rocks a soft gray or a subtle brown. This is what makes her latest look such a bold departure from her usual style.

Pamela Anderson’s dress was a royal blue
Stepping out in New York City on July 17, the actress ditched her minimalist, colorless palette in favor of a custom Akris blouse and skirt styled by Bailey Moon. Her high-necked, long-sleeved blouse featured a pussy bow, which she left long and tied in a knot rather than a bow. Her cinched pencil skirt hit just below her knees. She paired the dress with a pair of black Lapima cat eye sunglasses and Le Silla nude pumps.
Anderson’s dress is only the latest in what is quickly shaping up to be one of the biggest trends this summer—royal blue is everywhere. Especially on—well—royals. Kate Middleton wore a bold royal blue dress for her second appearance at Wimbledon, while this week, Queen Letizia of Spain also reached for royal blue at her latest outing. Kendall Jenner also gave her take on the trend, wearing an ethereal hooded dress in royal blue to a pajama party as part of the Jeff Bezos-Lauren Sánchez wedding celebrations.

Pamela Anderson also rocked a flippy bob
But Anderson’s bold dress wasn’t the only notable thing about her look. The actress also rocked one of the flippiest bobs. After wearing her hair long for months, Anderson debuted a curly bob in May. In a recent cover shoot for Entertainment Weekly, Anderson gave a bombshell spin to her bob. Now, she’s given the bob the flip treatment, with ends curling up away from her shoulders. She wore the flippy bob in a side-part with the front pieces tucked behind her ears. As Anderson told Who What Wear, her bob makes her feel like “a feminine warrior.”
