When Pamela Anderson appeared on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live, Cohen asked the actress about comparisons between shows hosted by both her and Meghan Markle.
“On a scale from one to ten, how much of a rip off did you feel like With Love, Meghan was of your show, Pamela’s Cooking With Love? There were articles saying these two shows were very similar,” Cohen asked Anderson. Anderson replied, “One. I didn’t.” When Cohen tried to press her, saying, “One? On a scale from one to ten, you did not see any similarities?” Anderson responded, “No, I didn’t really look—but, I didn’t invent cooking shows. Pamela’s Cooking With Love premiered in February on Canada’s Flavour Network, while Meghan’s With Love, Meghan premiered in March on Netflix (after it was delayed from its initial January launch due to the California wildfires). Anderson’s show had eight episodes, each of which brought on a new chef guest—including Michael Solomonov, Gregory Gourdet, and Nancy Silverton—while guests on Meghan’s series had a mix of chefs and her friends and family. (Prince Harry even made a cameo in the finale.) A second season of With Love, Meghan is slated to premiere this fall on Netflix.
It’s as yet unclear if there will be a season two of Pamela’s Cooking With Love, but Anderson is having a busy summer with the release of Naked Gun, a reboot of the 1988 film. She’s also starring in a revival of Tennessee Williams’s Camino Real at Williamstown Theatre Festival. “I want to see what I’m made of,” Anderson recently told Town & Country. “I don’t know yet and I feel like I’m just scratching the surface. I want to work really hard and find what it is I’m meant to be doing.”
