Pamela Anderson is turning heads at the 2025 Met Gala.
On Monday, May 5 in New York City, the actress, 57, appeared at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in a dazzling Tory Burch gown embroidered with sequins and crystals.
Anderson’s structured, long-sleeve gown (a nod to the Tailored for You dress code) featured a wide neck and was completely embellished with blue, red and silver crystals. She also wore Pandora jewelry. In line with her recent beauty philosophy, the star opted for a minimal makeup look with flushed cheeks and a subtle pink lip.
The actress also notably ditched her signature long locks for a blunt blonde bob with baby bangs. She first debuted the short style at the Tory Burch Foundation Honors Martha Stewart at 2025 Founders Breakfast in N.Y.C on May 2. At the event, Anderson was wearing a bucket hat that nearly covered her eyes, perhaps concealing her newfound bangs.
Anderson graced the carpet alongside her son, Brandon Thomas Lee, who kept his look simple with a classic black tuxedo by Genuardi. She shares sons Brandon, 28, and Dylan Lee, 26, with her ex-husband, musician Tommy Lee.
In October 2024, Vogue announced Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams and Anna Wintour as co-chairs of the 2025 Met Gala, along with LeBron James as honorary chair. The gala also has a star-studded host committee: Simone Biles and her husband, Jonathan Owens, as well as Doechii, Regina King, Spike Lee, Angel Reese and Usher.

Held on the first Monday in May, the event fundraises for the Costume Institute and spotlights the museum’s spring 2025 exhibition, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” — also the theme for the gala.
According to Curator in Charge Andrew Bolton, the exhibit, which is inspired by guest curator Monica L. Miller’s 2009 book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity, explores “the Black dandy as both a concept and an identity signifier.”

The exhibit “presents a cultural and historical examination of Black style from the 18th century to the present through an exploration of the concept of dandyism,” according to a post on the museum’s Instagram.
The Met Gala’s dress code — which is not the same as the theme — is Tailored for You. Fittingly, it is a nod to the exhibition’s focus on menswear and suiting.

The Last Showgirl star made her Met Gala debut at the 2024 event, where she wore an Oscar de la Renta gown with a Noel Stewart faux leather headpiece. Her ethereal gown featured a gathered bodice and dreamy skirt and dramatic train.
Anderson, who is a Pandora ambassador, accessorized with sparkling jewels from the brand. She wore pink and white lab-grown diamonds containing nearly 200 carats, marking Pandora’s debut of pink diamonds. The standout piece was her double chain necklace, which draped down her back.
The activist also broke her makeup-free streak to wear a glamorous glowy look done by legendary makeup artist Pat McGrath herself.
“Pam wanted to wear makeup again for the Met Gala, so we created a look that acknowledged her natural beauty but then took it to the next level. We wanted to explore the next incarnation of natural — an elevation of natural — and to show how you can wear a full face of makeup but in a very fresh and beautiful way,” McGrath said in a press release.
The star’s long, blonde hair was styled into an effortless ’90s-style updo — complete with feather detail — done by hairstylist Orlando Pita.

Anderson first made headlines for going makeup-free when she showed up bare-faced for Paris Fashion Week in the fall of 2023.
“I don’t know, something just kind of came over me and I was dressing in these beautiful clothes and I thought, ‘I don’t want to compete with the clothes,” she told Vogue France at the time.
During the Jan. 8 episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, the actress told hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos about how the choice to go makeup-free has impacted her life.
“Oh, I’ve saved a lot of time,” Anderson replied, revealing that her kids “used to say that I spent half my life in a makeup chair.”

Anderson, who rose to fame in the ’90s for her role on Baywatch and work as a model, has had a career resurgence in recent years. She starred as Roxie Hart in Broadway’s Chicago in 2022 and the following year released her documentary, Pamela: A Love Story. In 2024, she gained critical acclaim for her role in Gia Coppola’s The Last Showgirl, in which she plays an aging Las Vegas dancer.
While the actress even nabbed nominations at the SAG Awards and the Golden Globes, she was ultimately snubbed at the Oscars.
“Oh my gosh, it’s not something I ever expected. Doing the work is the win,” the star told ELLE after the announcement. “That’s what I like to do, and I think we can lose sight of that sometimes in this whole crazy awards season, but it’s nice to be recognized, and it’s all a bonus.”
