Grammy nominated artist and actor Omar Apollo has joined forces with alt-pop trio Latin Mafia on a new cumbia single called “Hecho Para Ti” (“Made For You”). The Spanish-language single is co-produced by Tyler Spry (who had a hand in Bad Bunny’s hit “DTMF”), while its accompanying music video was directed by Aidan Cullen and executive produced by Stillz.
The nostalgic, VHS-style video was filmed at the iconic Salón Tropicana in Mexico City. It follows the theme of the song’s narrative, diving into the emotional aftermath of a failed relationship. The song was first performed live during Latin Mafia’s show at Mexico City’s Palacio de los Deportes on July 5, when they surprised fans with Apollo and the unreleased preview.
