North West may have been featured in an early glimpse of Kim Kardashian’s Met Gala look, but she didn’t make an appearance at the event herself.
The 11-year-old was seen leaving the Mark Hotel with her mother ahead of the gala, wearing a cow-print jacket and matching shorts, bold blue braids, and layers of statement jewelry.
The mother-daughter duo shared TikTok videos ahead of the event, offering a behind-the-scenes peek at their getting-ready process. One clip, captioned “met 🖤,” featured the pair revealing their full outfits, while a follow-up video showed them riding together in a van—fueling speculation that North might be making her Met Gala debut.
Despite appearing ready for fashion’s biggest night, West ultimately did not attend the function. Instead, Kardashian walked the red carpet solo—a decision likely influenced by the event’s longstanding age restriction. Since 2018, the Met Gala has limited attendance to guests 18 and older, and it remains unclear whether West ever received an official invitation.
Kardashian wore a custom Chrome Hearts gown for the occasion. The form-fitting black crocodile leather design featured an exaggerated shoulder, a sculpted corset silhouette, and a dramatic train.
She completed the look with a matching wide-brim hat and diamond jewelry by Moussaieff, including statement necklaces, earrings, and rings. A string of pearls were elegantly draped on her hip, adding a final tailored touch that aligned perfectly with the night’s theme: “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.”
Kardashian, who made her Met Gala debut in 2013 while pregnant with West, has since become a fixture on the carpet. Over the years, she’s consistently wowed the fashion world, often arriving in custom archival or couture pieces that embody the evening’s theme.
