Nicole Kidman’s Lookalike Daughter, 14, Makes Rare Appearance in Beauty Ad originally appeared on Parade.
Nicole Kidman expertly blends the personal with the professional in her new beauty ad, which features a brief — and rare — appearance by her lookalike daughter Faith, 14.
Kidman, who is busy filming Practical Magic 2 with Sandra Bullock, is also the new brand ambassador for Clé de Peau Beauté – “Japan’s Premier Beauty Brand,” the luxury company states on their website. On Thursday, July 24, the brand dropped a new teaser, titled “The Key to Radiance,” during which the 54-year-old Babygirl star and her daughter embrace.
As Etta James‘ “At Last” plays in the background, the dreamy, black-and-white video features Kidman dressed in a series of elegant outfits, including a dark, tailored suit (perhaps a nod to her famous AMC ad?) as well as a black gown outfitted with flowing, cape-like sheer sleeves.
“My lonely days are over,” the singer croons 30 seconds into the video, as Kidman embraces Faith, whom she shares with husband Keith Urban. The camera offers viewers a close-up of the mother-daughter duo, who share an undeniable family resemblance … especially as they indulge in the peacefulness of their hug — eyes closed, smiles on their faces.
“Radiance is not a fleeting moment. The choices we make define it. Radiance grows stronger with experience. And time,” the text reads, as the ad slowly starts to colorize. “Radiance begins with who you see what happens next is up to you. The key to radiance is you. Unlock the power of your radiance.”
Speaking to People about her youngest daughter’s role in the campaign, Kidman — who also shares daughter Sunday Rose, 17, with Urban, as well as daughter Isabella, 32, and son Connor, 30, with ex-husband Tom Cruise— told the outlet that Clé de Peau Beauté requested that Faith be in the ad with her.
“My other daughter [Sunday Rose] is modeling now, and so when they said, ‘Would Faith be in this with you?’ I was like, ‘Faithy, do you want to be in this?’ And she was like, ‘Yes,’” the Killing of a Sacred Deer star explained. “So we flew out together and we were able to just have fun on the set.”
“She’s my baby, and it was a sweet little way to capture her at 14,” Kidman added. “It was one of those things where you say, ‘This isn’t a job. This is actually a gift.’”
As for how to raise her teen daughters with their own sense of radiance, Kidman said she’s “realize[d] the importance of empowering other women, and the way in which when you are empowered, that sort of inner confidence actually shows through,” she said. “And to me that’s very beautiful.”
