Sunday Rose is opening up about life in Nashville with parents Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban.
“The city has changed so much over the years, but it’s been nice to grow up in more of a small town than a big city,” the 17-year-old model told Nylon in an interview published on Wednesday, August 6.
She continued, “I will have time to experience that in life, whether it’s during college or later, so I like that I’ve gotten to grow up in a city that has a bit of a slower pace. It also makes it really exciting to travel for work to places like Paris or New York.”
While Sunday’s mom and dad are super-famous, she has managed to keep a lower profile through the years.

“When people my age meet me, they normally don’t know anything about my life, which is sort of wonderful because I am able to make a first impression based on who I am and not who my family is,” she noted.
When asked to name one thing she likes to borrow from Kidman’s closet, Sunday replied, “Oh gosh, if I had to pick one it would be impossible. I take everything from my mom’s closet. I sometimes joke with her that it’s my favorite store.“
Kidman, 58, and Urban, 57, also share Sunday’s younger sister, Faith Margaret, 14. Earlier this year, Kidman told Allure that she’s “very close” with her daughters.
“I sit on their beds and discuss the most intimate things; I get to be their guide,” the Nine Perfect Strangers star said earlier this year. “If they want to tell me to be quiet, they can. I’m able to apologize to them. I’m able to stand up to them. I very much like the relationship we have. It’s nice to be able to say that.”

Kidman said she “grew up with a very strong connection to taking care of my mother and my family and being the oldest child. Put the oxygen mask on yourself first, right? Right. It sounds good in theory, but it doesn’t make sense to me when you have kids. I will do anything in terms of sacrifice. I want them to feel completely loved, completely prioritized.”
Sunday made her runway debut at Paris Fashion Week in October 2024, when she modeled for Miu Miu. Kidman wasn’t in attendance, though she did meet up with her daughter at dinner following the event.
“I was just like, ‘You got this baby,’” Kidman later recalled to E! News. “I’m trying to give her her own space, you know? [Not be] overbearing or dominant in any way.”
She added at the time that she’s “incredibly proud and supportive” of Sunday, as is Urban, who gushed to Entertainment Tonight, “I thought she did great.”
