Celebrity power couple Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have a pair of mandates for their pair of daughters if the kiddos want to get into the sort of glamorous work their A-list parents do.
In fact, Sunday Rose went so far as to call them “big rules.”
In an interview with Nylon that published Aug. 6, the model, 17, opened up about growing up with parents who had a strict set of guidelines that she and younger sister Faith Margaret have needed to abide by as they’ve grown older.
“The first was that I couldn’t explore any kind of fashion work until I was 16, and the second is that school always has to come first, which at first I hated, but I am actually really glad that I have these rules in place because it keeps me in a good mindset,” she said in the new interview.
On the topic of fashion, Rose also shared about the toughest thing she’s had to get used to in the modeling profession, given the fact that she’s pursuing a certain type of career with celebrity parents under her wing.
“Fashion is so subjective, and everyone has an opinion about everything,” she told Nylon. “The biggest lesson I’ve learned from my experience is to enjoy each moment as it comes, be grateful for the opportunities as I get them, and focus on bettering myself each time I get hired.”
In honoring her parents’ “second rule,” Rose seems to have stayed focus on education and spilled about what she might study down the line.
“I have several interests that I am interested in exploring in college. Filmmaking has actually been my dream career since I was 5, so I hope I’m able to study that in college,” she told Nylon.
Rose turned heads earlier this year when she made a big switch in her appearance. Her family shared an Easter photo on April 20 that revealed Rose’s much darker hair, which had previously been strawberry blonde. Check out the look in the Instagram carousel below.
