Since the Eras Tour came to an end in December, fans have been trying to figure out what Taylor Swift‘s next move will be. More specifically, there’s one question that’s been on Swifties’ minds: Is she going to release Reputation (Taylor’s Version) next, or something else entirely?
It seems like we may be one step closer to finally having the answer. It looks like Swift and her team have been dropping some unmistakable Easter eggs that something is in the works, and it seems to be pointing to an announcement at the 2025 American Music Awards. But why?

It all started earlier this month, when Swift’s official social media fan account, Taylor Nation, shared a post about voting for the categories that the singer is nominated for at the upcoming awards, using one of her favorite methods of sending a secret message: capitalizing random words, of course. And in this case, those capital letters spelled out “AMAS.”
That could have been easy enough to brush off, but the Easter eggs kept appearing. It didn’t take long for fans to discover that the categories of items on the homepage of Swift’s online store spelled out “AMAS” and that there were 12 items on the store being offered at a 26% discount — sounds too specific to be a coincidence.

The AMAs will air on May 26, so Swifties deduced that’s what the 26% was about… but, then, there’s that 12. It could point to Swift releasing a brand new album next, since her most recent album, The Tortured Poets Department, was number 11 — or could it be an announcement about something that will drop in December?
It won’t be long before we find out what she has up her sleeve for sure!
