New Report Raises Questions About Stephen Boss’ Marriage To Allison Holker

The mother-son duo opened up about their experiences following Boss’ tragic passing in December 2022, as well as Allison Holker’s revelations, including her claim that she found hidden drugs in Stephen “tWitch” Boss’ closet after his death.

In a particularly emotional moment, Dre shared that his brother felt unheard in certain aspects of his life during an interview on “CBS Mornings” on Tuesday, February 11.

“So in my opinion, [from] our conversations that he had with me, he felt silenced. He couldn’t get it out,” he said.

Gayle King followed up, asking, “He felt silenced in his own home?” to which Dre responded, “Yes, often. Often. And he loved his wife, he loved his kids. He would definitely give them his last. But in any situation in which you can’t have a conversation and get resolve, it becomes one-sided.”

Dre elaborated further, recalling Boss’ outlook on life. “And I believe, cause you asked about their relationship, I can say that there’s many conversations that there’s no resolve. But he would always say to me, ‘This is life. The lights are on.’”

When asked by King about Holker’s claim that she discovered drugs inside Boss’ closet, Dre acknowledged that there was a “possibility” his brother was struggling with personal battles that only his wife knew about.

However, he also suggested that there were aspects of Boss’ life Holker may not have fully understood. “There are things that she knows that we didn’t know. But know that there are things about him that she didn’t know,” Dre explained.

Dre, who worked closely with his brother, shared that Boss often confided in him about personal struggles, including imposter syndrome. The two would discuss ways to manage those insecurities, but Dre noted that these were not always conversations Boss could have with his wife.

Holker had previously revealed in an interview with PEOPLE that she found a “cornucopia” of drugs, including mushrooms, pills, and “other substances I had to look up on my phone,” hidden inside shoeboxes in Boss’ closet after his passing.

“I was with one of my really dear friends, and we were cleaning out the closet and picking out an outfit for him for the funeral,” Holker recalled. “It was a really triggering moment for me because there were a lot of things I discovered in our closet that I did not know existed. It was very alarming to me to learn that there was so much happening that I had no clue [about].”

The unexpected financial burden only compounded her grief, forcing her to deal with both emotional and legal turmoil at the same time.

Holker has faced criticism for her decision to publicly share details about tWitch’s struggles and their marriage. In response, she took to Instagram Stories to share an emotional message, explaining that her book is intended to “help other people” by telling her story and honoring her late husband.

She also emphasized that proceeds from the memoir will go toward Move with Kindness, a mental health foundation established in tWitch’s name.

Holker, who has spent the past two years educating herself on mental health, believes that tWitch would have wanted his story to be shared if it could save even one life. “If Stephen were able to choose, he would choose to have his story told if it meant saving even one life,” she wrote.

The professional dancer’s memoir details her journey through grief, her love story with Boss, and the healing process she has undergone with their children since his passing. While the book provides insight into Boss’ private struggles, his family’s reaction makes it clear that they, too, are still trying to piece together the full picture of what he was going through.
