Happy New Music Friday! The weekend is here, which means more streaming, new playlists and the best that music has to offer — and ET has you covered for everything in between.

Nominations for 2025 American Music Awards have been announced. Kendrick Lamar leads with 10 nominations, Post Malone has 8, Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan and Shaboozey have 7 each, Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Morgan Wallen, Sabrina Carpenter and SZA have 6 each. Taylor Swift also has 6 nominations and could add to her record-shattering 40 wins this year. First time nominees include Chappell Roan, Shaboozey, Benson Boone, Doechii, Gracie Abrams, Jelly Roll, Lola Young, The Marias, ROSÉ, Teddy Swims, Sabrina Carpenter and Zach Bryan. The world’s largest fan-voted award show hosted by Jennifer Lopez will air May 26 on CBS and Paramount+.

Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn, Chris Stapleton, Clint Black, Cody Johnson, Kelsea Ballerini, LeAnn Rimes, Miranda Lambert, Rascal Flatts and Wynonna Judd have been added as performers for the 60th Academy of Country Music Awards. The awards hosted by Reba McEntire will stream live May 8 on Prime Video.

Kevin Hart has been named the host for the Culture’s Biggest Night. The BET Awards will celebrate its 25th anniversary airing live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on June 9.

Earlier this week, Ed Sheeran shut down Santa’s Pub in Nashville to play a surprise set with Noah Kahan. He performed an unreleased track “Old Phone” with Noah. Last week, Ed made his Coachella debut and drew one of the stage’s biggest crowds. Ed has recently launched a new era with a new single “Azizam” and will have a new album coming out.

On April 23, Katy Perry launched her world tour The Lifetimes Tour in Mexico City. ET sat down with Katy ahead of her first show where she shared, “It’s over 85 shows. We’ve been working on it for over a year, it is a larger than life show.” Katy gave ET an exclusive behind the scenes tour backstage and showed how she has been preparing for her tour.
