New ‘Fourth Wing’ Party Game Launches This Fall originally appeared on Parade.
The fantasy romance genre has recently exploded within the book world, with what seems like everyone and their mother raving about one ‘romantasy’ series or another. Among the top talked-about authors in this realm is Rebecca Yarros and her Empyrean series. The first book, Fourth Wing, gained popularity within the BookTok community on TikTok, acquiring a mass following of readers who sit on the edge of their seats awaiting the next release in the series. Currently, three out of a planned five books in the Empyrean series have been released.
Yarros has not yet confirmed the release date for the next installment of the story, so fans will have to wait until further details are shared. The good news is that the first book has been adapted into a party game that will be released in a mere two months, on October 1, 2025. So, while the series isn’t yet to continue in book form, fans can get their hands on different material related to the story they know and love.

Priorities Fourth Wing Edition Game
The popular game company Hasbro is behind this card game: Priorities Fourth Wing Edition. The game is a special edition of the original game Priorities, which is made by Claredon Games, an indie, London-based game company. The original game is described as a “hilarious game of absurd choices,” in which players work together to guess the target player’s answers to questions about certain scenarios, preferences and everyday items. Essentially, the game comes down to how well you know the target player’s priorities and what they would choose when faced with these funny questions.
In the Fourth Wing Edition, the target player is called the Wingmaster, and the questions center around steamy scenes, favorite characters and villains in the Fourth Wing world. Players work together to guess the Wingmaster’s answers to the cards pulled. How well do your friends really know you—and your favorite book series? What’s more important to you: romance, friendship or power?
While the game’s material is enough to entertain fans, the cards themselves, with their gold-foil finish and beautiful illustrations, work to transport players into the Empyrean series. The game is easy to learn and takes around 20 minutes to complete—basically, it’s the perfect addition to your upcoming fall book club.
