The boss is back. Tulsa King, the hit drama from Sylvester Stallone and Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan, is returning for a third season on Sunday, September 21.

Centered on mafioso Dwight “The General” Manfredi (Stallone), the first two seasons followed the rise of the East Coast mobster’s burgeoning criminal empire after he was exiled by his cohorts to Oklahoma following a 25 year prison stint. The series won fans over with a mix of action, criminal scheming, and fish-out-of-water charm, and has continued to be a ratings hit for Paramount+.

Season three promises to pick up where the drama left off. Per the official synopsis, “As Dwight’s empire expands, so do his enemies—and the risks to his crew. Now, he faces his most dangerous adversaries in Tulsa yet: the Dunmires, a powerful old-money family that doesn’t play by old-world rules, forcing Dwight to fight for everything he’s built and protect his family.”

When the premiere date was announced for the new season, Paramount also unveiled some new first look images to give fans a taste of what’s ahead:

Returning cast includes, of course, Stallone himself, as well as Martin Starr, Jay Will, Neal McDonough, and Dana Delany. The season cast also includes Annabella Sciorra, Robert Patrick, Kevin Pollak, Frank Grillo, and Garrett Hedlund. However, one of the most notable appearances of the season is sure to be Samuel L. Jackson, who will be introduced in season three as Russell Lee Washington Jr., before moving on to his own Tulsa King spinoff, NOLA King.

The synopsis for the spinoff hints at what’s ahead on season three, calling out Jackson’s Washington as a friend of Manfredi’s from prison who “is sent to Tulsa by New York’s Renzetti crime family to take Dwight out once and for all.”

Streaming

As with most of Sheridan’s slate of shows, Tulsa King is exclusive to Paramount+. New episodes are expected to hit the service on Sundays, staring with the season two premiere on September 21, 2025.
