Tyrese Haliburton’s proposal to longtime girlfriend Jade Jones is giving fans a major High School Musical flashback.
The NBA star delivered an unforgettable moment by staging a romantic gesture straight out of a movie scene.
On his Instagram, he shared highlights of the special occasion, which took place in an empty Hilton Coliseum.
“The place where our story started, and where our next chapter begins,” he wrote.
As he knelt to ask Jones to marry him, the words “Will you marry me?” lit up in glowing letters behind him.
Alongside the sweet photos, the Indiana Pacers star shared a video capturing the moment his girlfriend said yes to the million-dollar question — all set to the romantic tune of “Can I Have This Dance” by Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron.

Over the comments, friends, followers and fans flooded the post with congratulatory messages, all expressing excitement for the couple’s new beginning.
On the other hand, some fans also noticed that the proposal delivered a Disney touch.
“My Troy and Gabriella,” a commenter remarked, referring to Hudgens and Efron’s characters.
“High School Musical vibes. Congratulations!!” a follower said.
“Not me thinking the first pic was from High School Musical,” a third user wrote.

Haliburton and Jones had been dating for six years before the proposal.
