Nancy Grace’s twins are all grown up!
On Sunday, May 4, the journalist, 65, shared a photo on Instagram of her 17-year-old twins, Lucy Elizabeth and John David, posing together on a bench that her son built. The twins sat side-by-side in leisurewear as they smiled brightly at the camera.
“Twins trying out one of the benches before delivering Lucy’s blankets for the homeless,” the proud mom wrote. “Twins now one step closer to Eagle Scout! Years in the making!”

The proud mom first announced the volunteer work her children were doing last weekend on Instagram with two separate posts dedicated to both of them. In the first upload, she shared a picture of her with her daughter Lucy and the pastor of Trinity Missions holding up handmade blankets.
“My Girl Lucy delivering her 100 Hand-Made Blankets for the Homeless to Pastor Deborah at Trinity Missions. Have a wonderful Sunday!” she wrote in the caption
Following the post on her daughter, she highlighted the work of her son John David, who built benches for people waiting for rides to work. In the post, she shared two pictures of her son standing next to his benches.
“And here is John David a/k/a “Awesome” with one of the hand-built benches for people waiting on rides to work. SO PROUD!” she wrote in the caption. “His second bench is at a pre-K pickup drop off, the third at a handicap entrance. WHY I CALL HIM AWESOME!”

The former anchor welcomed her twins in November 2007, a few months after she married her husband David Linch. It was an early delivery for Grace, who was originally due in January 2008, but had developed a pulmonary edema during the pregnancy.
At the time of their birth, a rep for Grace confirmed with PEOPLE that John David weighed 5 lbs., 1 oz. and Lucy Elizabeth weighed 2 lbs., 15 oz.
