Howard Jones, the new wave icon behind such hits as “No One is to Blame” and “Things Can Only Get Better,” has announced that he is releasing a limited edition orange-colored double vinyl version of his biggest album, Dream Into Action. You can pre-order the album here.

“Dubbed ‘Farmyard Sessions,’ the 20-track double LP contains 16 tracks that were previously only available on the bonus CD of 2018’s sold-out Dream Into Action Superdeluxe box set. These tracks were recorded at Farmyard Studios in the UK and have not been made available since 2018. An additional four tracks include special mixes and versions. The artwork contains previously unseen images from the original Dream Into Action photo shoot with Simon Fowler,” reads the press release.

The original Dream Into Action came out in March 1985. It hit No. 2 in the U.K. and cracked the Top 10 in the U.S. That was also the year that Jones performed at Live Aid in Wembley Stadium and performed at the Grammy Awards with Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock and Thomas Dolby as part of the “Synthesizer Showdown,” performing a medley of their hits (pictured above).

The limited edition vinyl album drops August 22, and then the 40th anniversary tour kicks off its U.S. leg on September 2 in the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Jones will criss-cross the U.S. throughout September before heading to Europe for shows in October through December.

Throughout his illustrious career, Jones has sold over 10 million albums worldwide and continues to tour the world as his hits are seeing resurgences by being used in such films and TV shows as “Stranger Things,” “Breaking Bad,” “The Carrie Diaries,” “Superstore,” “Watchmen” and “Bumblebee.”
