The music world was shattered today with the loss of Ozzy Osbourne, whose full impact and influence can’t be measured. Whole bands and careers would never have existed if Ozzy and the rest of Black Sabbath didn’t take the plunge and search for the darkness in music. The man was one of the most important musicians to ever do it.
Many have already come out to share their pain and condolences over the news of his passing, with one of the groups being Metallica, who just performed at Osbourne’s farewell show on July 5th. The band owe so much to the metal legend, and they shared a really sweet photo in tribute to his passing.

With a simple broken heart, the band honestly expresses the way we all feel. Osbourne’s music was a huge part of so many people’s lives, including mine. I’ve been a huge fan of his and Sabbath specifically for as long as I can remember. Fans are going through it with the band, leaving their feelings in the comments of the post.
