Meryl Streep Confirms ‘Only Murders In the Building’ Return With Iconic ‘Devil Wears Prada’ Reenactment originally appeared on Parade.
Meryl Streep is returning to season 5 of ‘Only Murders in the Building’ — and announced it with the help of an iconic Miranda Priestly impression.
In a funny video first posted to ‘Only Murders’ star Selena Gomez‘s Instagram stories on Thursday night, the pop star imitated Streep’s famed ‘Devil Wears Prada’ character when asking if she’ll be returning to the hit Hulu show.

“So you’re coming back for season 5?” Gomez asked in the selfie video with Streep.
“Well I think that depends on…” Streep started to say before being interrupted by the singer.
“No, no, no, that wasn’t a question,” Gomez quipped in her best Priestly voice, imitating the scene where Streep’s character cuts off Anne Hathaway’s character, Andy Sachs, after saying that she has “no style or sense of fashion.”

The legendary actress’s return to the Hulu show — which also stars Steve Martin and Martin Short — was then confirmed on show’s Instagram account.
“Gird your loins, Meryl is returning for Season 5! That’s all,” the caption read in a nod to Stanley Tucci’s memorable line in the 2006 film.
In the award-winning show, Streep — who entered the show at the start of its third season — plays actress Loretta Durkin.
